The light of the Spirit
Awakens me to the dawn of life
A daily occurence
In which I respond
With Marian Simplicity
"How can this be?"
Not one final answer
But a daily cry
Into the darkness
Of an unprecedented future.
I beg for another sign
But you only send
Light in darkness.
Awesome!
Called to discern
What awaits me each dawn.
I see only your light---
Help me to say "Here I am!"
Let it be done through me.
Called to share light
From my heart
Through my eyes.
My life radiates the sight
That helps me respond:
Spirit of God,
How awesome
To carry YOU
Into the darkness of this day.
