Sister Marija took a tour of St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, IL, to meet with staff including Sister Dorothy Niemann, director of Pastoral Care, and Judy (Koch) Schrage who has worked at St. Joseph's Hospital for 40 years and knew a number of the Holy Cross Sisters when they were stationed there.

The Holy Cross Sisters were sponsors of St. Joseph’s in Breese from 1921 to 1986 and two Holy Cross Sisters remain at the facility: Sister Loretta Schreiber (far left) in Health Information Services, Sister Dorothy Niemann (center, right), director of Pastoral Care, and Laura Jensen in Quality Management.
