St. Joseph's Hospital, Breese, Illinois, Names New CEO
(L-R) Local, Division and System leadership was on hand April 14 to formally announce Mark D. Klosterman's appointment as the new president and CEO at St. Joseph's in Breese. Participating in the ceremony, before a crowd of hospital board and committee members, physicians, Sisters and administrative staff from St. Joseph-Breese, St. Joseph-Highland and St. Elizabeth-Belleville,were (from left) Sister Marybeth Culnan, OSF, Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) Senior Vice President of Sponsorship and Governance; Judge Patrick J. Hitpas (ret.), hospital Board of Directors president; Stephanie S. McCutcheon, HSHS president and CEO; the newly appointed president and CEO at St. Joseph's in Breese, Mark D. Klosterman; Mark W. Reifsteck, HSHS Division president and CEO (Southern Division); Sister Dorothy M. Niemann, SCSC, St. Joseph-Breese Pastoral Care director; and Larry P. Schumacher, HSHS chief operating officer. Klosterman will begin his tenure May 24; he, his wife Stacie and their three daughters will relocate to the Breese area during the next several months.
The Holy Cross Sisters were sponsors of St. Joseph's Hospital from 1921 to 1986. Today Sister Dorothy Niemann and Sister Loretta Schreiber continue to work and volunteer at the hospital.
