Sister Linda Songy

Sister Linda Songy was presented the Non-Security Support Employee Award of the Quarter from the Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women. The certificate celebrates her exemplary work performance in 2012. Sister ministers as a chaplain to the women at the facility in St. Gabriel, LA.

The Bell Tower Board of Directors welcomed three new members at their meeting January 29 at the Clare Center in Merrill, WI. John Yackel, Kathleen Graham, and Dave Cooper will each fill a three year term on the board. Karen Karow was re-appointed for a three-year term. Officers for the year include: Karen Karow, President, Art Lersch, Vice-President, and Kris McGarigle, Secretary. Bell Tower Residence is an assisted living facility located in Merrill, WI, and sponsored by the Holy Cross Sisters.

Assisi Hall at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill, WI, was the location January 10 for the Chili Supper for Alzheimer's. Volunteers like Julie Rajek and Sister Jeanne Marie Braun served up bowls of the homemade chili prepared by Stan Ward Jr.
