Holy Cross Associate Carol Mancl
Honored at National Conference
The North American Conference of Associates and Religious (NACAR) held their biennial conference in Vienna, Virginia, May 29-June 1. Holy Cross Associate Carol Mancl of Merrill, WI, was recognized as one of eight outstanding nominees for the Partners in Mission Award in recognition of making an outstanding contribution to the Associate Movement in North America.
Carol was missioned as a Holy Cross Associate on June 24, 2004. She is currently the co-director of the associate program with Sister Helen Huss of Merrill. The honorees were recognized during the evening banquet of May 31.
Also attending the NACAR Conference were Sister Helen Huss, Merrill, WI; Sister Pat Cormack, Silver Spring, Maryland, and Holy Cross Associate Saundra Kennedy, Kenner, Louisiana; who is also a member of the NACAR Board of Directors.
Keynote speaker for the conference was Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, a native of Louisiana, known internationally for her tireless work against the death penalty.
